Graduated from college and first job was with home health and Hospice. Being a medical social worker for 7 years i learned to link patients to needed resources in the community and educated patients on managing their health. I made a career change and went into Information technology where I worked for a hospital in New Orleans, LA IBM Global Services and was deskside support for Equifax in Atlanta, GA. I then took another career change and worked in the Georgia school systems and went for teacher certification, middle grades 6-8 Science, worked in the Cobb County and Fulton County school system. Staying with children I moved back home to Knoxville and worked in child support. My internships were with DHS in Cock County, TN where i worked in APS and CPS and graduate internship was at the student health clinic on campus at the University of Tennessee.
