• Making sure customers had an enjoyable atmosphere by welcoming them with a kind smile, and engaging in friendly conversations.
• Answering phone inquiries to schedule and confirm reservations, record takeout orders and respond to service questions.
• Managing the waiting list, ensuring that all parties were seated in a timely manner.
• Arranging place settings with clean tablecloths, napkins and tableware to prepare for incoming guests.
• Resolving any customer complaints or issues quickly and professionally.
• Communicating clearly with kitchen staff regarding customer orders.
• Being a team member and going above and beyond by providing services outside of my role such as, bussing tables, distributing food and beverages, and providing any additional assistance to the servers when needed.
• Building positive relationships with other front-of-house and kitchen staff.
• Cleaning and restocked counter areas, replenished cash drawer and checked server supplies to facilitate operations.
• Handling cash payments and reconciled daily transactions accurately.
