I am a dedicated and motivated student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, pursuing a pre-medical track with the goal of entering the healthcare field. Through my academic journey, campus involvement, and work experiences, I have developed a strong foundation of leadership, responsibility, and community engagement that I am eager to bring to the Resident Assistant position.
As a current UNLV Security Officer, I have gained first-hand experience in ensuring the safety and well-being of students living on campus. This role has strengthened my ability to remain professional, neutral, and approachable while enforcing policies, responding to concerns, and fostering a secure, welcoming environment. In addition, my extensive volunteer background with the Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada—where I dedicated over 500 hours as a group leader, mentor, and counselor—has further shaped my skills in guiding peers, supporting youth, and building inclusive communities. My training in CPR, first aid, and lifeguarding has also prepared me to respond calmly and effectively in emergencies.
Beyond my work and volunteer commitments, I stay actively involved in student organizations, including HOSA, where I develop leadership and teamwork skills in a healthcare-focused environment, and the Scary Movie Club, which gives me the opportunity to connect with peers socially and build community through shared interests. My involvement across diverse areas demonstrates my ability to balance academics, leadership, and community engagement while maintaining a positive and approachable presence.
I am passionate about creating safe, supportive, and inclusive spaces for students to thrive, both academically and personally. My experiences in leadership, crisis management, and peer support have prepared me to serve as a reliable resource and role model for residents. I believe the Resident Assistant role will allow me to continue building strong connections, encouraging student success, and contributing to the vibrant community at UNLV.
