Mission: Brain Harvard Medical School Chapter Hackathon 2024

- I mentored six teams out of the 63 teams in the hackathon.
- The Hackathon brings bright minds from around the world, tasked with finding solutions to address problems in global neurosurgery and expand neurosurgical care to those most in need.
- Teams were charged with leveraging their experiences and expertise to address global neurosurgical barriers and disparities presented in actual patient cases by working collaboratively with one another.
- The hackathon culminated with pitch presentations judged by a panel of leaders in the fields of neurosurgery, technology, and healthcare innovation.
- One of the six teams I mentored won the first-place prize, worth about $15,000 (the three members of the team will go on a mission trip in Mexico with the mission: Brain and all expenses covered).
- All other participants received a certificate.
