  • Was responsible for performing and/or coordinating vendor resources in the execution & resolution of deployment requests to which I was assigned. Some examples of deployment related tasks often were: performing an initial survey of the rack locations listed and confirming if said location was both suitable and/or available prior to kick-starting the deployment process, performing a review of the build documentation in order to hopefully avoid any unforeseen future delay of handoff, confirming that the equipment being requested is going to be on-site within the expected timeframe, et cetera.
  • Assisted with the resolution and closure if all general troubleshooting and break-fix requests.
  • Routinely authored and maintained documentation in collaboration with my peers and supported teams.
  • Provided 24/7 on-call coverage for minor/major service outages, supporting sites located both on and off campus.

  • Contributed to the drafting of build templates used by the operations team in order to streamline deployment workflows involving a wide variety of variables; This included not only configuration of hardware, but guidance on how physical network configuration, how best to attach external devices, et cetera.

  • Engaged in server rack preparation and installation, new console network setups, and conducted routine audits of the asset data for the sites that we supported.
  • Delivered expert break-fix support within Microsoft lab environments, resolving complex hardware and software issues.
  • Took part in large-scale hardware installations of and hardware migrations, coordinating logistics for shipping and receiving equipment.
  • Was tasked with the assembly of pre-configured racks in support of on-going projects at the time. This included replicating entire rack configurations according to configuration outlines that we were provided. This included, server hardware installations, terminating multiple ethernet cables for each server, and also neatly managing all in-rack cabling.
  • Ensured data integrity by overseeing tape drive backup rotations.
