  • District Recreation Planner for the 10.5-million-acre Battle Mountain District (BMDO).
  • Analyzed visitor use at developed recreation sites, by installing TrafX counters and managing data year-round.
  • Collaborated closely with archaeologists to integrate cultural history into recreation programs and historic preservation sites.
  • Responsible for meeting all recreation workload planning annual targets, developed monitoring procedures for seasonal park rangers to support their workload targets each year.
  • Applied mitigation measures to a variety of proposed projects for visual resources and recreation, examples include lighting for dark skies areas, visually pleasing designs, and alternative access for recreation areas.
  • Lead for the annual Vegas to Reno Special Recreation Permit, the longest off-road race in America and the second largest special recreation permit (SRP) in the state of Nevada. The race is multijurisdictional with over 500 participants and requires coordinattion with four other BLM field offices.
