- Power down racks and prepare them for decommission.
- Remove any data bearing devices from the racks and stage them in a secure storage bin.

- Decommission fiber, copper and power cables from racks and all hops associated with the specific rack.
- Work with different teams within the company to resolve more complex tasks.
- When performing a task leave detailed notes and what was performed and what needs to be performed next to help the next technician that may work on that device or server.
