As a Medical Scribe, I work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient care and flow. Assist in updating patient records, ensuring that all interactions, diagnoses, and treatment plans are clearly documented.

• Perform EKGs on patients as ordered by healthcare providers, ensuring proper electrode placement and accurate readings. Record, monitor, and report any irregularities in cardiac activity to the medical team for further evaluation
• Draw blood samples from patients, ensuring proper technique and minimizing discomfort. Coordinate with the lab team to ensure the timely and accurate processing of specimens. Maintain patient safety and ensure proper handling of specimens for testing.

As a New York State Certified EMT-B, I provide pre-hospital emergency medical care and transportation to individuals experiencing illness or injury. With a strong focus on patient stabilization, rapid response, and team collaboration, I assist in saving lives by delivering critical medical interventions in high-pressure, dynamic environments

• Administer emergency medical treatments, including airway management, CPR, bleeding control, and splinting, to patients in both life-threatening and non-life-threatening situations.
• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients to determine the severity of their conditions, prioritize care based on the urgency of their needs, and provide appropriate treatment on-site or en route to the hospital
• Administer approved medications to patients in accordance with NYS EMS protocols and under the direction of medical control or supervisors

Conducted an independent research project focused on understanding the genetic pathways that influence longevity, using Drosophila melanogaster as a model organism. The study investigated whether specific genetic factors could promote lifespan extension, with particular emphasis on the expression of the FMRFar and Cacophony genes.
