• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including but not limited to drug screens, biometric screenings, and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions based on established training.
• Research test and client information to confirm and verify all written and electronic orders using laboratory technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data, which is essential for success in this role.
• Obtain identification, accurately enter billing information, and collect payments when necessary, following corporate policies.
• Process specimens, which includes labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as required by the test order.
• Perform all non-patient-facing duties, including inventory management, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and utilizing email as appropriate.
• Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Assist with compiling and submitting statistics and data when needed.
• Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner, including maintenance logs and temperature logs, based on frequency.
• Complete required online and in-person training courses in a timely manner.
