Efficiency oriented catered towards ensuring that the people I am servicing and providing equipment for have a pleasant experience and needs are fulfilled. Well-versed in working in a team environment a well as serving in independent roles with no supervision. It is important to me to make sure policies are being followed and creating an environment in which tasks are being executed well and correctly.
I have worked in transportation since June of 2022. I have experience in a collaborative environment that consisted of scheduling use of government equipment, thorough communication with customers and team members, as well as face-to-face customer service. I have also served in a role in which I independently supervised the drivers and operations of vehicles I was entrusted to care for. Daily tasks consisted of creating new policies and guidelines for proper use and care of my equipment, dispatching and tracking use of vehicles, and communicating on a regular and efficient basis with superiors to coordinate and facilitate maintenance as needed. I also worked with other departments to manage our budget and place orders for items that would improve operations.
I avidly volunteer as an assistant coach for a youth hockey organization. I began in September of 2023 and intend to continue this work. I primarily coach ages 11 and 12 but participate in other ages as needed by the organization.
I have participated in multiple courses outside of transportation through the Marine Corps. I attended Entry-level training to educate me on all aspects of the organization where I learned basic leadership skills and necessary knowledge in order to serve. I also attended a leadership course in which I learned how to tackle ethical dilemmas, how to firmly and fairly lead those around you, and principals and traits of a positive leader.
