- I worked at a Pilot Flying J truck stop store for two and a half years, starting my position at the Arby's originally
- I would take the drive-thru orders, and assisted in making meals and drinks when necessary
- After a year in this position, I was promoted to manager of the freshly built Pizza Hut inside the truck stop center for their grand opening
- In this position, I ordered the food, hired all the future workers for Pizza Hut, made the weekly schedules, inventory checks and any other needs that arose within my store
- I continued to run the store for just over a year in this position, until Pilot J reached out and offered me the opportunity to be a coffee host
- I gladly took the solo operating position, maintaining all aspects of the busy coffee machines and operations
- I would start my shift early in the morning, getting the brewing started along with restocking and reordering for more coffee, creamers, cups and more
- I also took care of making orders of things we needed in the storefront, assisting management with getting the orders in and putting them away
- I was always the primary assistant on the floor, if a customer needed to ask for help I would gladly assist them and coordinate with fellow coworkers if they needed help as well
- During down time, I would help maintain the cleanliness of the store, and make sure all products were faced properly as well
