Amy Longua

I am a second-year student at The George Washington University pursuing my undergraduate degree in Computer Science. My journey into the world of technology began with a passion for solving puzzles and finding unique solutions to problems. I continue to grow in both my technical skills and leadership roles, I am excited about the possibilities for positive change and innovation in the tech industry.

• Alpha Omega Epsilon, President, 05/01/23, 12/01/23, I am the current president for Alpha Omega Epsilon, a sorority for women and non-binary people in science, technology, math, and engineering. I run chapter and ensure all of our members act accordingly.
• SEASSPAN, Secretary, 04/01/23, PRESENT, Current secretary for SEASSPAN, School of Engineering and Applied Science Student Peer Advisory Network. I am in charge of keeping attendance and minutes of each meeting.

• Cat and Mouse Simulation: Developed a point simulation of a city inhabited by mice and cats, where cats chase mice and consume them. The simulation runs in a two-dimensional grid, and the creatures exhibit various behaviors based on their characteristics in java.
• Dynamic Worm Game Implementation: Led the conceptualization and development of an innovative Snake Game, demonstrating a fusion of cutting-edge programming techniques and interactive design principles in java.

• Beyond academics and leadership roles, I love to spend my free time gardening and working at the local garden center
• I am passionate about contributing to animal welfare initiatives and dedicate my time to volunteering at the Cat Protection Societys
