Visits ORR-funded care provider sites to conduct weekly staffing and interviews children when necessary to complete a release recommendation and/or make placement/transfer recommendations to a least restrictive setting that is in the best interest of the child.

Provides timely and thorough review, assessment, and completes third party release recommendations for family reunification to ORR.
Assists care provider staff in identifying any special needs of the children or sponsor.
Confers weekly with ORR to discuss complex cases utilizing best child welfare practices, juvenile justice system, mental health, and ORR policies. Prepares written reports regarding progress and issues related to program trends.
Assists care provider and ORR to identify potential victims of human trafficking and tracks referrals to ORR. Ensures that eligible children are referred for benefits and services and collaborates with care providers to create safety plans for eligible children.
Refers legal provider, DHS, or other stakeholder inquiries requiring Government attention to the ORR designee. Refers release reconsiderations or case file requests by minors’ attorney to ORR.
Tracks new placements and progress of minors in ORR funded care. Keeps records on the status of children's cases.
