LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY

I believe great communities begin with great leadership. When employees feel supported, respected, and empowered, they provide exceptional care for residents and create trust with families. My leadership style is built on visibility, accountability, integrity, teamwork, and servant leadership. My goal is to create a culture where employees enjoy coming to work, residents feel at home, and families have complete confidence in the care their loved ones receive.

COVER LETTER

  • Andrew Fogerty
  • Dear Carrie and Robert
  • Thank you both for taking the time to consider me for the Executive Director opportunity. I truly appreciate the confidence you’ve already shown by thinking of me for this role, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue our conversations.
  • For more than 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving older adults throughout assisted living, memory care, and senior living communities. While my title has been Physical Therapist Assistant, and more recently Clinic Director, my passion has always extended beyond rehabilitation.
  • Throughout my career, I’ve found myself naturally drawn to leadership, building relationships, solving problems, and helping create communities where residents feel at home, families feel confident, and employees enjoy coming to work each day.
  • Over the past two and a half years as Clinic Director with EmpowerMe Wellness, I’ve had the opportunity to lead a team, oversee daily operations, partner closely with Executive Directors and nursing leadership, manage productivity, mentor clinicians, and work collaboratively to improve both resident outcomes and community performance. That experience has reinforced something I’ve felt for a long time. I want to lead at the community level.
  • One of the greatest advantages I bring is perspective. I’ve worked alongside many outstanding Executive Directors, and I’ve also seen what happens when leadership falls short. Those experiences have shaped the type of leader I strive to be. I want to be visible, approachable, accountable, and willing to jump in wherever needed. I believe great leadership begins with supporting employees because when staff feel valued and empowered, residents receive exceptional care, and families experience the difference.
  • Outside of my clinical role, I’ve built a successful real estate business focused on relationships, communication, and helping families through major life transitions. I also founded Melodies & Memories, a business providing live music to senior living communities throughout Middle Tennessee. Both ventures have strengthened my skills in business development, marketing, community engagement, and relationship building while allowing me to continue serving older adults in meaningful ways.
  • Although I haven’t previously held the Executive Director title, I believe my leadership experience, operational mindset, and commitment to servant leadership have prepared me well for this next step. I learn quickly, welcome feedback, and understand the responsibility that comes with leading an entire community. More importantly, I genuinely care about people. My goal is to build a culture where employees are proud to work, residents feel at home, and families have complete confidence that their loved ones are receiving exceptional care.
  • Thank you again for your time and consideration. I would be honored to join your team and help continue building a community that residents, families, and employees are proud to be a part of. I look forward to the opportunity to continue our conversations and hopefully contribute to the vision you’ve created.
  • Sincerely
  • ==============================================
