Andrew Narciso

Mansfield

Summary

I am seeking an entry-level position in my desired field: Energy. I have a broad-based education and well-developed customer relations skills. I am also a quick learner, and am eager to acquire the necessary skills for any opportunity to grow and learn in this industry. Recent coursework and my independent research have revealed that I have a deep passion for the energy industry and its future, and I also know that I have the ambition to succeed in this field and bring success to my employer. My goal in my young career is to learn all that I can and eventually help pioneer and develop future energy solutions. In today's world and the growing need for energy, young people like myself are going to change and evolve the game, as it has already evolved exponentially in my relatively short lifetime.

Skills

  • Excellent and very experienced in customer service
  • Leadership abilities in varying environments
  • Record-keeping abilities
  • Mathematics
  • Engineering, relating to Physics
  • Writing and Editing
  • Event Coordination
  • HTML and CSS Coding
  • Effective Research Skills
  • Limitless ambition!

Relevant Coursework

  • Physics: Through Quantum Mechanics (senior level)
  • Math: Through Differential Equations and Statistics for Engineers and Scientists.
  • Legal Studies: I learned to consume external information in order to condense it and create efficient research projects and presentations.
  • Independent study: focused solely on law, economics, and engineering relating to the Energy industry. Also entrepreneurship.
  • Final Research Project (Legal Studies): Impact of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 on the Renewable Energy Industry, an explanation of the economic and social impacts of the I.R.A. and how it will affect the future of this transitional period to cleaner energy throughout the United States.
  • Lab Experience: Physics II, and IV. II: Relating to electrical circuits and the behavior of electricity and magnetic fields. IV: Behavior of light, radioactivity, and other wavelength and frequency related physical phenomena.
  • Coding Experience: Intermediate level HTML and CSS coding. Projects include basic webpage design for a positive user experience. Examples include: Basic one page formatting and design, a restaurant website, and a website for the expansion of 'Golf Galaxy' to a course finder, handicap keeper, and social networking website (final project). Beginner level experience in Python and Wolfram Mathematica. Used python for a data modeling and graphing class for Physics. And used Wolfram Mathematica for 3-D graphical representation in differential equations.
  • Operations Management: Included in my last 9 hours of courses over summer of 2024.

Coding Projects

  • HTML, Created multiple different web pages for hypothetical situations, such as: a restaurant website with menus and information. A website used as a home page for external links to different literature. Other similar one-page designs depending on assignments and some experimenting on my own time.
  • Python, Mathematical data modeling for Physics related problems and 3-D modeling for their physical behavior. For example, my final project was to make data, graphs, and a model predicting the behavior of a double pendulum.
  • CSS, Paired with HTML, used basics of CSS to enhance the interface of the HTML-based websites. Mostly basic things like font, placement of different components, colors, and other beginner styling for web pages.
  • Wolfram Mathematica, Mathematical data modeling for Differential Equations and using the A.I. of the program to generate visual models. Used for homework assignments.

College Activities

  • Physics Journal Club
  • Organized intramural sports teams
  • Rented venues and hosted parties
  • Self-education outside of TTU curriculum
  • Leader in First United Methodist Church of Mansfield Summer Mission Week program

Entrepreneurship

  • Obtained and sold women's accessory items. Basically, my mom and her friends gave me old purses, shoes, belts, etc. to resell and split profits with them.
  • Threw parties for profit, before AirBnB banned it.
  • Feel-the-music: My first actual project, clothing with vibration mechanisms in them to create the illusion of being at a concert or 'feeling the music'. Turned out to be impractical with cost and low customer interest/interaction.
  • Most recently: Christian-based athletic wear clothing brand, still in the initial production and marketing phase.
  • I have experimented with lots of concepts and ideas. Lack of funding tends to be the common denominator. For example, Disney has a new project called the HoloTile floor. I didn't know about that, nor did I pitch it to them, but about three years ago I came up with that nearly identical idea. I thought rolling and oscillating spheres, instead of hexagons.

About Me

I've been very blessed in my life to have a great family. I have parents who hold me accountable and are admirable in their relationship and as individual role models. My mom was a lawyer before having kids and buying Pump It Up, and my dad is a longtime engineer at Lockheed Martin. My mom's dad had a Ph.D and worked in Los Alamos and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and I feel I have inherited a lot of hunger for knowledge and similar interests as him, and I admire his accomplishments in the nuclear research and business fields. A lot of my family members have great accomplishments as well. Further, I'm the youngest in my first-related family by a lot, and I've always felt a pressure to impress. However, recently, I've re-found my fulfillment through Jesus that filled that empty hole in my life, and, although it hasn't changed my work interest, it has opened my mind to infinitely more approaches as I have had questions answered which has given me great peace and fulfillment. I still want to better the world as much as I can, and I believe wholeheartedly that I can make big waves in his name. And ONCOR, with it's astounding influence and leadership in the field, would be the absolute perfect place to start. If you want someone with ambition who wakes up every day looking to improve, I'm your guy.
