Anika Mattine

After graduating early in Dec. of '04 I immediately started hands on learning at a very small single doctor veterinary clinic in the East Mountains. Was fortunate enough to be taught many skills first hand and on the job. Worked there until my first son was born and was unable to continue. At which time I started my own cleaning and caretaking company. My final caretaking client just recently passed Sept. of '24 ending the final chapter in my business. While still doing the caretaking for my single client I also started work at Petsmart in '22 as a petcare associate, quickly working my way up the ranks to Customer Engagement Lead. My main focus was the petcare department and I was able to implement several positive changes to improve the quality of care for the pets in store. I was also able to coordinate with the City of Albuquerque Welfare Dept. and get them lined up to receive our donations and do adoption events at our location. I am exceptionally driven and self motivated. I don't shy away from hard work and will always accept a challenge. Currently in my care is a horde of animals that most would consider the misfits or the unwanted but my passion is and always has been animals. My days off are spent cleaning cages and rubbing bellies.
