Led end-to-end implementation and enhancement of new HRIS system (UKG), transitioning from Insperity PEO. Spearheaded payroll operations, policy enforcement, and compliance across federal, state, and local regulations. Mentored and developed high-performing team, served as backup for semimonthly, biweekly, and monthly payroll processing for 2000+ personnel, and acted as subject matter expert on payroll. Collaborated cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Operations, and Transitions teams to optimize payroll systems and support acquisitions. Directed equity and buyout payments, supported month-end close and journal entries, and executed audits, workflow improvements, and contingency planning. Delivered internal and external reporting including turnover metrics.
- Implemented and enhanced new HRIS system (UKG) while configuring system, developing mapping, and writing code. Moved from Insperity PEO to UKG.
- Enforced consistent procedures and policies resulting in accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Collaborated with Transitions team to set up newly acquired practices and train new practices on how to use the system.
- Processed year-end balancing and reporting for issuing W-2s and W-2Cs.
- Ensured cross-training and contingency plans were in place to support operational continuity.
