In my role as a server at Wasabi, I have significantly enhanced my customer service and hospitality skills. My key responsibilities and achievements include:

• Mastering the art of welcoming guests with a friendly demeanor and efficiently taking orders to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Utilizing point-of-sale systems to accurately input orders and manage transactions.
• Skillfully timing service elements to deliver an exceptional and seamless experience for customers.
• Performing essential side and prep work to maintain a well-organized and efficient dining environment.

As a part-time Hostess at The Cheesecake Factory, I play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient dining experience for our guests. My responsibilities include:

• Managing guest seating and waitlist operations to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times.
• Providing exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and assisting with any guest needs.
• Maintaining an organized and inviting reception area to enhance the overall guest experience.

While I have enjoyed my time in this role, I am eager to further develop my skills in a server position, where I can leverage my customer service expertise and passion for the hospitality industry.

In my part-time role as an evening Hostess at Ruth's Chris, I am gaining valuable experience in the operations of a high-end dining establishment. My key contributions include:

• Managing guest seating and reservations to ensure a seamless and welcoming dining experience.
• Adapting to the restaurant's unique approach to customer service, focusing on personalized attention and hospitality.
• Expanding my knowledge of restaurant operations with an emphasis on enhancing efficiency and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

This role has further fueled my passion for the restaurant industry, and I am eager to apply my skills in a server position to provide direct service to our guests.

I worked at Anna Dolce between semesters at the University of Northern Iowa and eventually more consistently once I settled in West Des Moines. Initially, I worked there as a hostess. Over the years, I became familiar enough with the menu to begin food running and expediting. In my last year there, I held the position of the main expo on Friday and Saturday nights. The skills I gained there are as follows:

• Maintaining food quality
• Executing proper timing for food orders
• Communicating with chef's over food orders
• Knowing the pivot points for each table
• Organizing the tickets for food orders

I also went through server training, though I never got the chance to put that into practice. With that, I learned:

• How to take orders as a server
• How to put in orders on the computer
• The correct dialogue for communicating with customers
• The best methods for achieving customer satisfaction

I also completed the Iowa Program for Alcohol Compliance Training. My position there was very engaging. I both expedited and ran most the food in the restaurant the nights I worked there. With this, I am confident I can manage my cool in a busy work environment
