Manage the Grocery Department, including hiring, training, and developing department associates. Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of the department, and provide ongoing performance management. Daily management of labor, and coaching associates to achieve productivity expectations. Competent use of company tools such as financial reports, average cost inventory systems, scheduling, productivity, ordering, and business information systems.

Ensure proper employee scheduling for my areas of responsibility. Observe and correct all unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents. Report and record any and all near misses or actual mishaps according to regulatory requirements. Participate in and oversee the conduct of the physical inventory of products on hand, on a biannual basis.

Primarily responsible for overseeing the stocking operations within the store. Ensured shelves were fully stocked with proper rotation, managing a team of stockers by training, assigning tasks, and monitoring productivity. Ensured quality standards in accordance with company policies regarding food handling and safety. Consistently monitored team performance and addressed any issues related to productivity or accuracy. Provided management with ongoing feedback and coaching to team members as required. Managed inventory levels by communicating stock needs to the department manager. Properly labeled and priced merchandise while also maintaining cleanliness and organization within the store.
