- Duties are to install and upgrade the servers at CTC and WTC in the FedEx Corporation Data Center. Diagnosis and repair data lines, fiber optic lines and phone lines, ensuring the network equipment is up and running on the network system. Conveyed changes during build outs using Visio and Excel. Construct the POD units in the layout for all future installations. Do updates to the bios on workstations and other equipment in the warehouse. Use Asset Management for procurement and harvesting of old equipment. Working directly with the customer to resolve any issue(s) pertaining to the daily operation at multiple sites in Memphis, Tennessee and throughout the country. Work with the different vendors to construct a plan to resolve critical issues as they come up in a 24/7 operation. The operation was part of a million square footage of warehouse. This includes conveyors, workstations, scanners, zebra printers, LAN cables and wireless connection issues within the scope of the business. Upgrades of software and hardware including the backup power supplies in the IDF Closets and Main Comm Room. Training on lockout/ tag out instructions on the high voltage equipment out in the warehouse environment.
