Conducts classroom and hands-on road training/instruction on revenue vehicles including assessing training needs, consulting with departments on specialized training, reviewing industry standards, recommending training plans and instruction and recommending changes to training evaluation standards and procedures. Served as team lead.

Supervises, monitors and instructs trainees use of tools and equipment in real and simulated environments in compliance with all appropriate rules and procedures.

3. Plans and prepares classroom and hands-on training instruction for new Transit Operator trainees, experienced Operators and other San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) staff in the safe and efficient operation of transit vehicles. The training content includes new Operator training, in-service training, operation of SFMTA public transit vehicles, operating rules and regulations, collision prevention, customer relations, and other public transit-related activities.Prepares trainee/operator evaluation reports and other correspondence in compliance with applicable agency requirements and regulatory guidelines utilizing computer software applications, databases and specialized software applications.

Investigates, analyzes and makes determinations on incidents, collisions etc. and implements corrective action plans.

Revises training lesson plans based on oversight guidelines. Coordinates, instructs lesson/training plans for new and modified equipment training.

Assesses retraining needs and conducts classroom and on-road/in-vehicle retraining, when necessary. Rides along with Transit Operators to evaluate and monitor Operators operational performance.

Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Conducts pre-operational inspection of the transit vehicle, in accordance with federal and state laws and departmental regulations, to ensure it is functioning properly.

Inspects the passenger compartment of the vehicle to ensure it is free from hazards (such as spills, loose handrails and stanchions, defective seats, etc.) and that the video camera lenses are not obscured.

Safely navigates the vehicle through traffic along assigned routes, in accordance with traffic laws and departmental regulations.

Operates the ADA lifts to assist people in wheelchairs onto the vehicle and properly secures their wheelchairs

Collects fares from passengers and issues transfers; checks passenger transfers, fast passes, and electronic passes to ensure they are valid.

Uses vehicle's intercom system to communicate instructions to passengers and to call out vehicle stops and transfer points.

Responds to customers' questions regarding routes, directions, fares and transfers.

Conducts a post-operational inspection of the outside of the vehicle to detect defects and body damage, broken windows, and graffiti.

Contacts Central Control regarding various emergencies

Completes accident, incident and/or miscellaneous reports to document unusual occurrences.

Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Kept bus interiors clean and tidy to provide comfortable passenger environments.

Completed pre- and post-trip bus inspections for safe passenger transportation.

Maintained a clean and sanitary bus interior by regularly inspecting for cleanliness, removing trash, and reporting necessary repairs to management.

Operated bus and navigation equipment in alignment with company safety, DOT, and local traffic standards and regulations.

Adhered to scheduled routes and accomplished timely drop-offs and pick-ups to comply with preset route criteria.

Picked up disabled and elderly clients dropping off to assigned location.
