Typical server duties: Greet guests, take their order, bring them the drinks and food requested, ensure they have a good dining experience, be the cashier when they pay, and always let them know it was a pleasure to serve them and invite them back. Communicate with, and support, other staff members as needed (be a team player), do opening, closing and running side work required.

• Coordinated and supported economic development efforts in both public and private sector.
• Collaborated with other departments to streamline and coordinate processes to better manage numerous ongoing and potential projects.
• Enhanced local business growth with comprehensive economic development resources.
• Prepared agenda items for City Council consideration.
• Assisted in reviewing and managing of all economic development contracts with individuals, businesses and organizations.
• Reviewed and processed payment request for clients.
• In addition, there were numerous other tasks I did as needed and as requested.

Typical server duties as previously described at several different restaurants in Austin to support myself throughout graduate and undergraduate school at University of Texas. I have at least 12 years total server experience.

It was my desire after retiring and taking a much needed break, to return to a highly physically active job that would allow me to interact with people. I chose serving because I have a lot of experience and I am a very good server.

I have enjoyed George's but it has always been my plan to work at an upscale restaurant once I got back in the swing of being a server (after such a long break).
