Ariana Johnson

At the moment, I am working on the host and bussing team at Jack Stack! I'm one of the main hosts and trainers. A clean work environment is one of my top priorities. My main duties are seating, answering those crazy phone calls, and just helping in any way they need. I do like to be open and everywhere, so I run food, check on the servers, and make sure the ambiance is top-tier. When I am specifically bussing, I am very fast and efficient. Let's turn those tables!

This was my first job! I loved working at Chuys. I started as a host, and quickly realized I wanted to deal with the entire guest experience, instead of just the initial interaction. I moved to to-go packing and taking orders first. Just a week later, I was expoing and serving as well. During the pandemic, there was a period when no one was working and the restaurant was closed. When we all returned, I moved to the Olathe location and was shift lead for a while. I was working other jobs and decided after 4 years there was no more opportunity to move up and then sadly they closed forever!

This was a unique and amazing job I got to be a part of for some time. They are an event planning company that plans big corporate parties. On top of weddings, performances, and private events, they also did some planning when Kansas City hosted the NFL draft. I got to learn how to setup stages and photo booth equipment, dance floors, wired speakers for DJ booths, and put together LED walls. It was a great learning experience I would definitely do it again.
