The career focus is working with the aging population, primarily working in hospice care or nursing facilities. However, it is ready to work with any population that needs to be served and to advocate for their dignity, support, and for their voices to be heard and recognized. The goals of working with the aging population are to ensure that the patient's needs are valued and cared for, and to create a warm environment for the patient's families/caregivers during the engagement and assessment process, by sharing my knowledge and applying appropriate skills to become a better social worker.
