A hardworking and dependable candidate, eager to pursue experience in my passion driven field of interest: English. I am an English major looking forward to obtaining a PhD. While I lack experience in professional writing, I am confident that my ability to adapt, previous writing experience, and continued courses in English will ensure my success if accepted for this opportunity.
Though I am a freshman at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, I am entering on a sophomore course work level. For the past two years, I have been enrolled in courses at Pellissippi. I took at least three dual enrolled courses each semester. This presented many challenges that I persevered through in order to make my future career goals more plausible. Since I started classes before I could drive, I would walk from the High School to the public library. I completed my work at the library and then walked to my job at Dunkin'. After a certain amount of dual enrollment classes, the student is only offered a discount. So, I worked in order to pay off my debt. For nearly a year before I could drive, I walked for hours each day, worked 25 hours a week, and maintained an A average GPA at the college. All so I could have more time in college to get my PhD. This job listing fits my schedule and goals exceptionally well. With my PhD, I'd like to be an English professor and writer. What sets me apart from other applicants is that I have already proven my zeal for this position through past experiences that got me here. In addition, being a freshman at a sophomore level ensures that I have a more solid grounding with advanced writing.
