Utilized proper PPE and tools to safely perform work orders involving meter changes, connects, reconnects, disconnects, reading and investigating at both residential and commercial locations. Used volt meter to identify any potential hazards like excessive load and back feed, and to verify proper voltage is being delivered. Assisted other groups to identify problems with grid such as blown line fuses, burnt connections, issues on transformers, and wire down. Made use of software application's like Microsoft Word, excel and MobileTC.
Built and maintained overhead distribution lines and equipment while following Oncor construction standards manuals, and company safety procedures. Climbed wood poles, operated bucket truck, and digger Derrick to safely finish the task assigned, while using the approved safety equipment. Always ensured truck was well stocked, and equipment was built properly. Was enrolled and excelling in Department of Labor recognized apprenticeship program through T&D Power Skills.
