  • Operates as a law enforcement officer pursuant to the authority given the Board of Governors by Section 11 (q) of the Federal reserve Act.
  • Exhibits a high level of proficiency in all aspects of Law Enforcement operations, including Command Center Operations. Provides oversight, guidance, training and support to less experienced staff and utilizes knowledge of department operations and subject matter expertise to assist management by making recommendations concerning operational improvements and enhancements and providing feedback to the shift supervisor.
  • Maintains proficiency in areas such as weapons (lethal and non-lethal), first aid, CPR, fire-fighting techniques, civil disorders, and public relations
  • Maintains proficiency on all Law Enforcement posts, including Control Center Operations, control pedestrian and vehicle access to the facility, and tend to unusual situations or unauthorized individuals.
  • Performs law enforcement duties. Patrols building/grounds for unusual situations, circumstances, unauthorized individuals, and responds to non-emergency and emergency incidents to provide services. Monitors surveillance equipment, intercoms, telephones, radios, and other specialized law enforcement/life safety equipment. Prepares appropriate shift reports, incidents reports and other required paperwork as necessary.
  • Maintains proficiency in areas such as: operating policies, weapons (lethal and non-lethal), use of force applications, physical security equipment, first aid and CPR/AED, basic firefighting techniques, civil disorder, and public relations. Responds to alarms, accidents, and incidents, accurately report associated facts in writing, and performs follow up duties as directed. Must exhibit reasonable judgment over life safety issues,the discrete handling of detected weapons and/or explosive devices and the proper handling of sensitive information and incidents. Could be required to testify in court in response to a subpoena regarding accidents or incidents.
  • Controls pedestrian and vehicle access to the facility through use of screening equipment to detect unauthorized items prior to entry to Bank property. Inspects vehicles entering security sensitive areas for unauthorized personnel or contents. Maintains proficiency in use of computer and related software, access control systems, video surveillance, x-ray and metal detection equipment, and various alarms systems.
  • Key contributor that consistently adds value to the department and exhibit a high-level of proficiency in operational knowledge and technical skill areas. Provides guidance to less experienced team members and operates with a greater level of independence. Is expected to perform additional duties, project assignments, or specialized responsibilities in support of law enforcement operations as directed by management. In limited instances, may be the senior law enforcement officer on-duty responsible for coordination of shift activities and operational oversight when determined to be necessary by department leadership.
