I managed an overall budget of $70M and led an organization consisting of 8 direct reports, more than 100 full-time employees, and approximately 300 contract resources across the U.S., Manila, and India. I also spearheaded a major GenAI initiative focused on improving contract ratification processes for labor union agreements. I am part of the 4-member inventors for a patent pending for this AI initiative.

- As part of this role, I lead the engineering and product teams developing and supporting a number of tools for online Grocery fulfillment. This includes picking applications(android) for grocery picking at the stores, interfacing with Micro Fulfillment centers, building last mile platform and transforming last mile delivery with 3PL partners and own trucks, building demand planning and automation platform and many others needed to achieve 97%+ on time delivery for online orders. Most of these applications are developed in-house using microservices on Java stack, cosmos and mongodb no-sql dbs on Azure platform. WIth 10 direct reports that includes 5 directors, the team has about 400 engineers. Responsible for a $60M capex budget with an additional $20M opex budget.
- During this time help grow the 1st party eCom business from $300M to about $2B.
- Led the design and implementation of 11 Micro Fulfillment centers
- Led the first launch of Albertsons Marketplace and scaled the system to 400+ sellers.

Responsible for a $10m capex budget plus another $10m of opex budget.
- During the three years at this position I have overseen a full transformation of the website and a total overhaul of the backend fulfillment and delivery systems. This included migration of applications from in-house systems to Azure and in-house cloud.
- Led the teams to deliver system changes to go from next day delivery to same day delivery. Later with further changes, the delivery time could be reduced to 2 hours with the help of 3rd party delivery partners

- During my tenure I was able to transform the IT Development team to follow Agile methodology and bring back the organization to a cadence of performing regular releases.
- Also started partnership with a third party SI partner to perform 24 by 7 Application Support and augment software development with offshore resources. From a partnership perspective, I was responsible for development and QA for all projects supporting all channels of business viz Retail stores, Groceries (CPG), Wholesale, e-commerce(home delivery) and the roasting plant operations.
- During this time, I also championed the use of Atlassian products like JIRA and Confluence for project and task management. During my four years at Peets, I ensured that there was no system issue during the peak holiday time.

- As Manager, Managed the Order Management (Finance) and the Payment processing development team of about 20 members that included full time employees, contractors and offshore developers. Fully involve the offshore team for almost 100% of the support related tasks and in many of the development projects.
- For a short time I also managed the engineering supply chain team to improve the delivery date estimation and messaging. This resulted in an increase of about 5% in conversion ratio in web traffic.
- Also initiated a project to implement a web service that would help decide a distributor based on the inventory position during the browse and checkout on the WM.com website rather than after the order is created. This greatly reduced the backorders and avoided subsequent order cancellation, which in turn helped improve the customer satisfaction metric.
