Project - Sales Orders BI

Description - Sales Orders Project will combine subsets of data from systems containing Sales Orders information and stage it in a format that can be easily interrogated by the business users. The BI solution will provide a consolidated view of the captured Sales Orders information, answering questions. The Users will have the ability to report sales inventory quantity and value in each country, where available.

Responsibilities:

• Developed high-level test matrix based on business requirements, functional and technical specifications, and development standards for assigned projects/applications.
• Assisted in the production of OLAP cubes, wrote queries to produce reports using SQL Server 2012, Analysis Services (SSAS), and Reporting Service (SSRS)
• Created and deployed cubes in star and snowflake schema. Performed and worked with dimensions, measures, and MDX queries.
• Designing current database by adding tables, and relationships, creating stored procedures, views, and performance tuning of SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Designed, developed, and maintained applications using VB.Net, C#
• Implemented business logic in the form of custom classes written in C#.
• Developed test cases based on test matrix including test data preparation for Data Completeness, Data Transformations, Data Quality, Performance, and scalability.

Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization

The Global Supplier BI of Xerox manages the invoice amount, amount distributed, and payment amount. The individual teams under this group GSCB, XE-OMAF, OTC, OCF, NCTH, and ACS need reports for analysis and decision making. GSC BI application is to mitigate the complexity by providing a single source instead of multiple sources, a cleansed one-stop integrated data warehouse that is flexible enough to accommodate new changes and scalable enough to efficiently cater to the growing user community. GSC BI application provides the flexibility for Xerox business users to make key management decisions for the improvement of their business.

Responsibilities

• Requirement analysis. Customer Interaction for requirement clarifications.
• Planning estimates. Hence assigning user stories to teams for development and unit testing.
• Implementation and delivery of MSBI platform solutions to develop and deploy ETL, and analytical, reporting on SQL Server 2008 using SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Developed custom reports and deployed them on the server using Power BI.
• Developed Business logic layer by implementing Object Oriented Programming languages (OOPS) concepts abstraction, encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism in C#.
