Hi, my name is Baron Lutz. I’m 18 years old and I am graduating from Maranatha High School in Pasadena, California at the end of May. Next fall I will be attending the University of Arizona and majoring in Business Management with a focus in Real Estate.
I’ve grown up all my life playing all sports, but mainly baseball in recent years. Playing baseball at a high level instills leadership qualities by fostering teamwork, communication, and resilience. As a player, I’ve learned to collaborate with teammates, communicate effectively on and off the field, and navigate through challenges with determination. Interacting with diverse teammates and opponents helps develop interpersonal skills, while facing competition hones your ability to adapt and strategize. These experiences translate seamlessly into professional settings, equipping myself with the skills to lead, communicate, and build relationships effectively.
Since I was young my parents have enforced me to do chores weekly to teach me what it’s like to have a job and. As I’ve grown up doing chores it has taught me responsibility, time management, and a strong work ethic. My parents assigned me household tasks to instill the importance of contributing to our family and taking ownership of responsibilities. Through chores, I learned to prioritize tasks, manage my time efficiently, and persevere through tasks even when they may not be enjoyable. These skills are invaluable in the professional world, where employers value employees who are reliable, organized, and capable of handling various tasks independently.
