I was assigned several roles leading up to management at Industrial Transmission Solutions.
1. Inventory and inspection specialist. This was my first Job title with this company, I was instructed to conduct an inspection on all items received to insure there was no damage from the manufacture or shipping and handling. After my inspection I would restock shelves while maintaining current inventory lists.
2. Shipping and receiving manager. After about six months of experience with inventory systems, I was promoted to management. In this position I managed 3 employees working under me. I unloaded and loaded trucks with many different types of machinery and my helpers would unload and load the crates. It was my job to ensure the accuracy of my helpers and double check inventory at the end of each day.
3. Delivery and logistics. As the company grew, we hired on another operator to assist and eventually take my place in unloading and loading crates as I moved up into large item delivery. My role was then to ensure inventory accuracy and organization, manage my helpers and work environment as well as deliver parts throughout the day. I delivered transmissions and parts weighing 2,000- 12,000 pounds all throughout the metroplex.
