Benjamin Liska

After 38 years (1976-2013) as a entrepreneur & pioneer in lifestyle, fashion and action sports retailing, founding Benjamin Surfboards and Benjamin's locally in Corpus Christi (for 14 years at Barton Creek Mall in Austin, Texas), Benjamin's sold and much of that knowledge & skills have been applied in refocusing on Real Estate marketing and development. With wife, Brenda Marshall (Liska) we operate as the Marshall Liska Team @ TexStar Realty. Endeavors have included investments in purchasing, dividing and marketing properties including "country getaways", condominium complexes, farm and ranch listings, lots and acreages, and the full gamete of Residential properties in and around South Texas.

As a concept retail developer, commercial leasing over 4 decades included significant multi-million dollar leases with international and regional giants including Simon Properties, Trammel Crow, the predecessors of General Growth, Jim Wilson and Associates, Trademark Properties, Paramount and locally owned, Pederson Development. A dozen major design and construction projects of stores were completed in that period resulting in decades of strong sales and awards for "Top Sales per Square foot".

Involvement in farming and ranching comes out of a father/son farming corp., BenL Farms, operating from the mid eighties through 2008 and extending through today in both the cattle business and various leases. Most recently, Farm & Ranch real estate as well as Residential has been the focus. We enjoy working alongside other professionals... For over 45 years, marketing, sales management, negotiating contracts and leases as well as the multiple aspects of operating businesses have been a daily practice.
