Self motivated, dependable, quality minded individual with experience in just about every aspect of the operation not afraid to learn more or admit faults.
Out of high school I worked at Holiday Inn in Overland Park KS as a dishwasher. I then moved to banquet set up. I set up for business meetings, wedding receptions and buffets.
I then moved on to Professional Mailroom Services in Mission KS as a driver. The first year I drove a local route going to banks and colleges picking up mail. I then was placed on a route where I drove to Lincoln Nebraska daily and picked up mail. They went out of business just after I completed my second year.
After that I started work at Packaging Products in Mission KS in the summer of 1984 and was there for 3.5 years. I worked as a shipping clerk where I loaded trailers and prepared shipments to be loaded out the next day. Weighing and wrapping rolls of plastic material and palletizing it for shipping. I also pulled stock from the warehouse to keep the printing presses running.
I then started as dock associate at Arkansas Freightways (American Freightways/Fedex Freight) in 1988, became a Crew Leader on the dock in early 1990's. While at that position I was in charge of starting the city operation including but not limited to, delivery planning, overseeing dock operations, setting up the dock for that day's delivery routes, occasionally putting trailers to the dock myself. I was involved in that part of the operation for approximately 7.5 years. After that I helped in city dispatch for a little over a year, taking pick up calls, dispatching drivers, preparing paperwork for delivery trailers. After that I moved to Road Dispatch where I assisted in dispatching drivers, matching paperwork to closed trailers, filling out hazmat sheets, keeping track of and assigning K-Tags/Pike Passes/ Pre Passes assigned to drivers/tractors and maintaining inventory records. Assisting drivers with requesting time off and entering time off in the system. Spent 3 months handling all aspects of Road Dispatching after my supervisor had been released from the company and maintained over 90% On Time departures during that time. I was in road dispatch for around 18 years. On March 2 2013 I moved to the office where I started out calling dock pick ups, handling chemspills and forklift meter entry, on occasion doing manual fuel entry and answering phones. I was then placed in OS&D where I take care of daily bay compliance for the OS&D bays, working overages, reaching out to shippers for missing BOL's, answering phones, checking to see if chemspills and overages are documented correctly, assist with camera checks. I also assist with the image exception report when the office supervisor is off of work.I am sure there may be things I am overlooking. If I see something out of place or out of order, I handle it without a second thought..
