I successfully completed a ChilNet sponsored C.A.R.E. Professional Trainer Course are permitted to teach the C.A.R.E Curriculum to students in foster parent pre-service training.  The  role of the foster parent as a treatment team  member. Transition of a child into and out of foster care. Issues related to separation, loss and attachment. Management of difficult child behaviors that can be intensified by placement and prior abuse.  The prevention of placement disruptions. Care of children at various developmental levels, including appropriate discipline; and effects of foster parenting on the family of the foster parent. Training also included information regarding the administration of psychotropic  medication and the Multi-Ethnic Placement Act..
