- While employed as an outside salesman for Cameron and Barkley Electrical Supplies, I noticed the lack of availability phenolic legend plates for circuit identification. I purchased the necessary equipment to produce the plates. I expanded the items to include stainless steel engraved wall plates. After a short period of time, I was spending all my spare time producing engraved plates, so I tendered my notice and started full time in the engraving business. Within five years I had expanded into laser engraving, glass awards, plaques and trophies. P & N Engraving became one of the largest supplier of legend plates and stainless steel labels in Georgia. I had a staff of four full time and two part time employees.
