Holts Summit,MO

Summary

I am applying for this position simply because I want to work. When I retired, it was my intention to take a couple of years and return to work. However, life dictated otherwise. My husband was diagnosed with dementia. It became my focus to spend as much quality time with him as possible and then to care for him when he was no longer able to do so for himself. Fortunately, I was able to care for him at home until his death in 2022. I am ready to reenter the work force.

Throughout my 34 year tenure with the Department of Corrections many of the skills you are looking for were continuously honed from a beginning level to administrative level review and oversight. I am confident I can meet and exceed your needs.

Additional Information

After I retired, my husband was diagnosed with dementia. My original plan had been to take a couple of years and then work part-time. However, with this diagnosis, plans changed to spend as much quality time with my husband as possible. The dementia progressed and when covid arrived became much worse. I was his sole caretaker and was, fortunately, able to keep him home. Charlie died in 2022. Since then, I have been taking care of myself and am now ready to reenter the work force.
