  • I ran both Subaru and Nissan until the owner decide to sell Nissan and move Subaru to a brand new facility in Norman, Oklahoma. I helped design the facility and opened the doors in January 2022! That year was a big year for a lot of dealers, and we really lit it up in the new facility! Unfortunately, the owner's sons wanted nothing to do with the car business and Mr. Hudiburg took a big offer from the Cavender family. They brought their own guy from San Antonio so I was let go.

  • Same as previously listed but I had a lot more control. I wrote all the checks to vendors I also had full control of pay plans bonuses and spiffs. I wrote all the advertising and was the television and radio spokesperson. The owner only came by the store every couple of weeks as he was very comfortable with my decision making.

  • One day out of the blue my dad called me and said he wasn't enjoying the business any longer and had an offer from Group 1 automotive to buy the store and he had decided to accept the offer.
  • He taught me that he could not give me respect because I had the same name. Respect must be earned. I believe I have done that in my career as I have had many employees over the years who I would consider friends!
  • The car business is fantastic!!!
