Brandon Whatcott

I was born in Mesa, Arizona and have lived in Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona for most of my life. I am 21 years old and am the third of 6 children. I have four sisters and one brother. I enjoy being with friends and family, especially in the outdoors. Some of my hobbies include pickleball, hiking, fishing, hunting, shooting, running, snowboarding, etc. Really if it is outside, I enjoy it.

I love being in groups and working together to accomplish great things. I played soccer and ran track in high school where I was a jumper on the varsity team my Sophomore, Junior and Senior year. My senior year, I had the opportunity to compete in pole vault at the State final track meet.

After graduating from high school, and saving up some money, I served a mission in Mexico. It was the highlight of my life, to this point.

I served as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 2 years from September 2021 to September 2023. I served my mission in the Mexico, Tuxtla Gutierrez mission. While on my mission, I served in different family groups, branches and wards which were all unique but each made an impact on my life. I also served as a District Leader, Zone Leader and Trainer of new missionaries.

Also, since being home, I have been serving as a Temple Ordinance Worker. I have fulfilled my duties happily and have learned quickly the responsibilities of the role. I love to interact with the people who serve there, and meet new people. I have been able to develop the love of helping others to feel comfortable as they come to worship God.

I love being around people and serving them. I love to work hard and have fun while doing it. I try to keep my things organized and I do my best to be timely to events. Overall, I am super outgoing and love to be active and on my feet.
