HUB Program Specialist reports to the Purchasing Manager, who also oversees agency purchasing functions and related reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Coordinates outreach and reviews vendor compliance with the state and agency Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) requirements.
Monitors, evaluates, and reports on HUB program effectiveness and activities to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA); generates internal monthly and quarterly HUB Reports; prepares the Semi-Annual and Annual HUB reports.
Coordinates and attends meetings and activities related to the HUB Program including attending statewide HUB events representing Texas Education Agency (may require some travel to Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, etc.).
Performs purchasing functions on an as-needed basis, including entering requisitions to order supplies and equipment, initiating contracts and solicitations for competitive services into TEA’s Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS), and processing Public Information Act requests pertaining to purchasing.
