Summary

I am an enthusiastic, organized, and dependable Certified Clinical Medical Assistant with 15 years of experience. I am efficient at managing a multitude of priorities while keeping a positive attitude. I have a willingness to take on added responsibilities as long as it does not affect patient care. I aspire to meet and/or exceed the standards of my teammates and our patients. I’m currently looking forward to finding a clinic to call my long-term, "home away from home".

Work History

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

One Peak Medical
Eugene, Oregon
10.2025 - 01.2026
  • Facilitated patient care through functional medicine practices at One Peak Medical, supporting providers in implementing treatment strategies for hormone imbalances.
  • Supported healthcare providers during patient examinations and treatment procedures.
  • Set up sterile and non-sterile trays for pellet insertions and biopsies, ensuring readiness and compliance with safety protocols.
  • As One Peak is also primary care, there are a lot of the same responsibilities as listed in the previous jobs.

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

G Street Integrated Health
Veneta, Oregon
08.2025 - 10.2025
  • Responsibilities closely mirrored those detailed below. However, the minor difference was that the office had not acquired an in-house phlebotomist at the time. Therefore, I drew blood and processed samples to send out to the lab, instead of sending the patients away.
  • Performed new patient intakes, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
  • Managed patient scheduling and coordinated appointments for efficient clinic workflow.
  • Scheduled appointments and coordinated referrals to ensure effective patient flow.
  • Managed patient records using electronic health record systems for accurate documentation.

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

River Road Medical Group

10.2024 - 08.2025
  • Reviewed and organized patient charts for upcoming appointments, ensuring accurate and relevant information was readily available.
  • Processed and confirmed orders from the provider for medications, diagnostic imaging, referrals, and labs to ensure timely patient care.
  • Prepared examination rooms for patient visits, update med lists, and obtain information regarding the chief complaint.
  • Collaborated with multidisciplinary 'Quality Assurance' team to develop strategies for enhancing patient care and service delivery.
  • As I have mainly worked in primary care, the job descriptions below also relate to this position.

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

BestMed
Junction City, Oregon
11.2017 - 09.2024
  • Prepare and administer medications and vaccines. I was nominated as the VFC (Vaccines for Children) backup. I would take on those responsibilities should my coworker be unavailable, or if there was a clinic power outage and said coworker was not able to get to the clinic to move the vaccines to the working fridge/freezer.
  • Communicate with patients to determine the purpose of the visit, update medical history, and take vital signs. Obtain medication information, symptoms, and allergies.
  • Call to notify patients of test results, and make sure to explain said results in words that are easy to understand, instead of strict medical terms. I also ensure that all of their questions have been answered.
  • Draw blood, and collect specimens to be sent out to a lab.
  • Complete blood sugars, A1c, UA, INR, EKGs, orthostatic blood pressures, ear lavage's, and any other tests or procedures requested by the provider.
  • Refill medications based on the provider's protocol.
  • Set up sterile and non-sterile trays for procedures.
  • Train new staff on proper procedures and policies, ensuring that they have an understanding of policies, procedures, and clinic flows.
  • Prepared treatment rooms for patient examinations.

Floor Supervisor/Medication Technician

Pelican Point
09.2016 - 06.2017
  • Administer scheduled medications and treatments, documenting the date, time, and whether or not there were any adverse events, or if the patient refused.
  • Assess injuries, behaviors, and any adverse reactions to medications.
  • Take a full set of vitals, and assess any incident, such as injuries or behavioral changes. Should anything like this happen, the charge nurse would be notified immediately if necessary. Documentation would be done in length, and communication would be sent to residents' physicians.
  • Communicate with physician offices and hospitals regarding any abnormalities with the residents.
  • Ensured residential aides adhered to their responsibilities during each shift.
  • Make sure that the residents are being bathed, changed, and that all call lights are being answered in a timely manner.

Medical Assistant/Pod Support

  • Roomed patients while accurately recording vitals and medical histories.
  • Performed back-office procedures, including EKGs and drug screens.
  • Performed back-office procedures, including EKGs, HCG, U/A, drug screens, rapid strep tests, and removal of sutures, while preparing surgical trays for pap smears, IUD insertions, and suturing/stapling procedures.
  • Charted patient data in the EMR for comprehensive documentation.

Medical Assistant/Back Office Lead

Tulelake Health Center
07.2012 - 07.2015
  • Mountain Valley Health Centers was a small company where I worked at both the Doris, CA, and Tulelake, CA, clinics. Both are very rural, and many patients had Medicaid, which caused a lot of struggles, as the closest specialist or hospital within the state was 150 miles away.
  • Coordinated telemedicine operations, ensuring consistent connections between patients and specialists while attending conventions to identify enhancement options.
  • Coordinated patient referrals to ensure timely specialist appointments. Sending referrals out, ensuring that patients are seen, and retrieving chart notes for the provider.
  • Obtained prior authorizations for prescribed medications.
  • Participated in quality assurance committee to improve patient experience through feedback and process evaluation.
  • Assisted a provider who was experienced in obstetrics and gynecology. We would place IUDs and Nexplanon, and care for pregnant women up until there are complications, or until labor.
  • Rooming patients, taking and inputting vitals, and updating or confirming patient history.
  • Complete blood sugars, A1c, UA, INR, EKGs, orthostatic blood pressures, ear lavage's, and any other tests or procedures requested by the provider.
  • Ordering, managing, and tracking medications, vaccines, office supplies, and medical supplies.
  • Oversaw Vaccines for Children stock, conducting daily temperature checks and monthly audits, and submitting reports to maintain uninterrupted vaccine supply.
