Issue:
Most Booky providers were not using Booksy's payment system for transactions.
Response:
When looking at how providers accept payment, Booksy noticed that most providers did not use the Booksy payment feature. I conducted a series of interviews to determine why providers were using alternate methods to collect payment. This study highlighted why providers did not use Booksy’s payment feature and showed what changes Booksy could make to entice providers to use this feature. After sharing my findings with stakeholders, the payment team revamped how payments are processed and issued to providers.
Diary Study
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I conducted a diary study to better understand struggles people were facing in various work situations (i.e. full-time, furloughed, etc.). This was conducted during the month of June 2020 with 19 participants. The study allowed me to get an in-depth look at how people were handling the pandemic and how employers could help. The diary study highlighted participants’ feelings and sentiments regarding their personal lives, work situation, and more. I shared my findings with both stakeholders and clients so they could see how people are coping and find creative ways to support their employees.
