At Olive Garden, I was introduced to a new side of the restaurant industry. I memorized both the food and drink menus, demonstrated hospitality and customer service while greeting tables, delivered food and beverages promptly to customers, explained details for new menu items, listened to guest needs and responded promptly for personalized service, entered orders into the computer system, restocked service stations to maximize availability, informed customers of ingredients and allergens to support sensible menu choices, and much more.

At The Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen, I greeted guests upon arrival, guided guests to their tables, ensured a flow in server rotations, took reservations in person and over the phone, managed the table charts, and learned how to use the OpenTable app. I also cleaned restrooms and kept them stocked up. I rolled silverware, learned the basics of coffee in the Lola cafe/coffee shop, did to-go orders, and much more.
This job has allowed me to become an expert in communication and has taught me to be friendly.
