I am a stay at home mom that has a passion for healthcare and am working on getting back to school to finish my degree in nursing. I have been at home since the middle of covid caring for my two young children and am now at a point in my life where I am ready to jump back into the workforce and make a difference not only in my home life but as well with my profession.
I went through a 6 month course with Harrisburg Area Community College to obtain my phlebotomy certification. I also worked with a UPMC practice for a couple months to complete mandatory hours for my NHA certification. I then worked at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital for almost a year while at the beginning of COVID. I worked through a lot of unknowns at the time in a very stressful work environment while maintaining compassion and drive for my patients and co-workers. I love the healthcare career and look forward to furthering my education and work experience.
