Awarded for actions involving a Marine who had crashed his motorcycle in the courtyard of Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron-3, MCAS Miramar. Upon witnessing the wreck Sgt Hardin Responded providing an initial assessment and first aid to the fallen marine. it was discovered that the marine was beginning to aspirate blood. As such Sgt Hardin responded promptly and safely and turned the marine to his side, while maintaining his airway until a higher level of care could arrive.
