Being OhioHealth's largest campus with nearly 1100 beds Riverside Methodist Hospital provides a wide range of patient care services in support of healthcare outcomes. As the Inpatient Pharmacy Controlled Substance Area Specialist I have undertaken pharmacy and interdepartmental workflow optimization projects, oversaw a multimillion dollar controlled substance vault, formulated detailed communications, advocated for staff retention, curated training regiments, engaged in patient safety reporting, and operated as a link between management and direct care associates.
As a freelance editor I engaged in research content review, resume development, and portfolio curation for individuals seeking to advance their professional success. In this position I honed a keen eye for detail, established and met deadlines, developed interpersonal communication skills, and gained experience in assessing individual's capabilities in order to best support the successful completion of their goals.
An internship experience focused on healthcare policy formulation and research. The Department of Health Transformation primarily focused on implementation of the Affordable Care Act and effective community based healthcare delivery models. In this position I engaged in the process of incorporating vested entities through roundtable discussion and information delivery methods necessary to achieve complex goals. Skills in research and department coordination were developed and implemented. My primary focus in this department was research focused on data and trend analysis related to the emerging opiate epidemic and its impact on community health.
