Cayden Mayo

I am motivated to achieve an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy. Working for this honor of attending the Academy has proved no easy task. The rigorous requirements provide a base level of exceptional capabilities of the people that attend. Achieving a commission to the Academy will be the fruit of my labor, while opening up the opportunity to a new goal with a new set of standards. I plan to earn a pilot seat, and spend a career serving our country as a pilot for the Air Force. I really enjoy aviation, and feel a primal need to serve, which the Air Force Academy provides an opportunity for the absolute best of both worlds.

EVIT (East Valley Institute of Technology): Aviation Program

• Enrolled in an aviation specific program at EVIT [11th-12th]
• Currently study all subjects regarding commercial aviation: Requirements, regulations, certificates, science of flight, procedures, performance, communication, ect.

Swimming

• Helped manage funds for swimming fundraiser
• Kept track of inventory with each swimmer, and money owed
• Helped team prepare for out-of-school events such as invites or meets

Aviation

• I love everything aviation; flying, mechanical aspects, the science, ect.
• I enjoy watching aviation movies, documentaries, videos, and experiencing anything in person from flying to working on an aircraft

Cars

• I enjoy spending time driving and working on my car, and other peoples cars
• I find pleasure in learning about the engineering of different cars, and what they can do

Exercise

• I got to the gym and work out a minimum of 4 times per week
• Seeing personal growth in capability, condition, and performance drives me to keep going
