  • I was a sales associate at a local surf shop. Throughout the years I was promoted to key holder, so that I was responsible for opening and closing the store. This included opening or closing the registrar and setting alarms. I was also promoted to buyer which meant I was responsible for buying wholesale products to sell in our store. I bought ladies accessories like bags and jewelry for our location.

  • My job was to help lead summer camps for children of ages ranging from five to thirteen. I also independently led behind the scenes tours of our facility.

Volunteer

North Carolina Aquariums
Roanoke Island, NC
10.2021 - 04.2025
  • I was a long term volunteer before becoming an employee at my local aquarium. I began by working in the touch pool area to ensure safety of guests and animals. I then moved to the husbandry department and did food prep for a whole gallery. I also fed and assisted with training of several animals. Lastly, I volunteered in our sea turtle hospital and rehabilitation area. Here, I assisted with feedings and medical treatment of Greens, Kemp's Ridleys, and Loggerheads. I learned how to take measurements and complete an intake form. I also assisted with release once the turtle(s) were cleared by vets.
