JITEX is a freight moving business that consist of 280 Class A drivers and 8 boxes trucks. We also supply cross-dock services to multiple business. At JITEX we have a local department that does everyday call in non-dedicated freight. Our OTR department consist of linehaul drivers and sleeper cab drivers. We then have a Dedicated program that is specific to customers who sign a contract. At JITEX I am a Dispatch/Driver Manager for the Dedicated Programs. As a Dispatcher/Driver Manager, I manage a little over 30 drivers a day who are devoted to a dedicated customer. My job is to make sure freight for each customer gets planned, put in the system, executed on time and spread sheets updated accurately.

One of my roles is also to manage the drivers assigned to me, and make sure they have a quality work setting and that they are present and working efficiently.

This job has allowed me to grow tremendously in my leadership skill along with communication. In my day to day activities I plan and dispatch drivers. I also talk to customers and grow close relations with them to help grow efficience.

Mahaffey is a portable structure company that supplies tent based structures for multiple purposes. At Mahaffey my position was in the warehouse. In the warehouse I would pull hardware, frame, and accessories that go with the structure based on size. This job allowed me to build leadership and social skills. It also help me learn the meaning of a team setting in the work place. While at Mahaffey I was also tasked with managing a small team of new employees in order to maximize the quantity structures we could pull in a day.
