As an ITAM specialist, I operate both independently and collaboratively within a team framework
My responsibilities include monitoring the Asset Management supply queues using current agency tracking tools such as Flexera, BigFix, HBSS, and SolarWinds
I meticulously analyze requests for IT hardware and software, ensuring accurate provisioning to meet specific requirements
This includes leveraging PowerShell scripts for automated provisioning tasks
I also conduct market research to identify cost-effective and compliant software solutions
Conduct thorough software license remediation whenever non-compliance is identified
Contribute to the development of accountability, disposition, and audit procedures, compiling related reports such as Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss
Diligently monitor agency audit tools to manage applications, unauthorized software installations, and DCMA software purchase entitlements, ensuring alignment with installations and unprocessed purchases
I manage the software procurement process, ensuring compliance with agency regulations
Verify the accuracy of property and supply records, conduct detailed assessments of ITAM equipment and software requests, and provide technical appraisals to support decision-making processes
Conduct comprehensive virtual and/or physical inventories of all IT assets, maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinating transfers of IT property as necessary
Assist in implementing IT accountable property standard operating procedures to optimize controls and services
Proficient in preparing documentation, reports, and recommendations for procedural enhancements and operational improvements
PowerShell scripting is utilized extensively in report generation and automation
Manage and maintain VMware vSphere ESXi 8 virtualized environments, ensuring high availability and efficient resource utilization
This includes scripting tasks for automated virtual machine management using PowerShell
Serve as the software liaison for several key agency applications, ensuring timely updates and addressing technical issues
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders
Possess strong analytical skills, enabling me to assess problems thoroughly and provide practical recommendations for resolution
This includes troubleshooting complex issues using PowerShell and ESXi command-line interfaces
Experience with Windows Server 2025 administration and management, including Active Directory and Group Policy management
