As Inventory Control, my responsibilities were to find and locate products that the warehouse and retail could not locate. If I were able to locate the item(s), I would take them to shipping for the order to be fulfilled. If I were unable to locate them, I would do a stock count, and adjust inventory. I would correct the inventory either to add or subtract to ensure the inventory is correct.

In my 15 years at Mack's, I also worked in shipping and receiving. In shipping, I would pick products for multiple orders and bring them to my station to make sure the orders were fulfilled correctly and packaged accordingly.

My duties in Receiving were to make sure all products arrived in good, saleable condition, that all products matched the invoice, and to add them to inventory along with pricing.

As a Returns Processor, my responsibilities were to make sure the returns were inspected and determined to be re-saleable, and to process the refund and/or exchange of new product(s). If the customer were returning the product for a refund, I would be responsible for processing the refund. If the customer were returning for an exchange, I would be responsible for making sure the new order was correct, and processed in a timely manner to be shipped. Also, if a customer called in with a defective item, depending on the item, I would be responsible for replacing the item, scheduling a carrier pickup, or emailing prepaid shipping labels for the return. My ultimate goal was to keep the customer happy.
